Dealing with Body Pain

It can be surprising for clients to learn that pain in their body can be significantly improved or even eliminated by using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), or tapping as some call it.

EFT is a process of working with the body’s own energy systems to help correct “stuck” energy, i.e. like when we have been in a car accident, then are totally afraid to drive again.  EFT can clear that out.  It can also deal with specific body issues and the pains that show up.

I worked again with a client today that has had long term, on and off, pain in her upper body.  After the major emotional and physical challenges were addressed via EFT for the right side of her body, which was why she was coming to me, then the pain shifted and was manifesting differently (and with less intensity) on the left side.

Her insight was that this was “left over” issues from the past that keep showing up.  Obviously why there was now a challenge in the left side of her body.

After many rounds of tapping on both the physical and emotional aspects of the problem, she looked right at me and said “its gone!”.  She then proceeded to move her arms and shoulders, and feel her upper back, and assured me that the pain was gone.

Its always interesting to see the connection between our mind and body, and how they interact over an entire lifetime of experiences, traumas, situations, and relationships.

Since I am not in the medical profession, (and don’t even play one on TV), I always leave the analysis of what has happened to the client.  They know their bodies better than anyone else.

The founder of EFT, Gary Craig, said to “try it on everything!  Many people that use energy psychology, EFT being one form of it, are expanding the horizons of healing in all areas of our lives, be it emotional, physical, or performance.

Just try it on everything!

Helping Veterans deal with Stress & PTSD

An ever higher and higher number of our military veterans are having to deal with high levels of stress and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).  The Veterans Administration is in a state of overwhelm trying to help our veterans.  The VA uses many different modalities to help, including counseling, talk therapy, group therapy, and prescription medications.  I was interested to learn that the VA has spent over One Billion dollars on prescription medications for service members.  A Billion is a LOT.

Might there be a better way, a faster way to help our veterans?  Yes, I believe there is.

As a Certified EFT Practitioner, I am also doing session work with veterans to help them with the many challenges they face after their service to our country.  A prime way of doing this is via a research project called the Veterans’ Stress Project (VSP), www.stressproject.org  We offer six free sessions of help for veterans using a form of energy psychology called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).

The VSP helps Veterans learn an evidence-based, drug-free, self-help technique proven effective in relieving a wide range of stress-related symptoms.  All sessions are confidential and at no charge.

The Veterans’ Stress Project is nation-wide, and open to all veterans.

Who do you know that is open to help with gaining a better qualify of life?

Lets connect.

Building Community – For Business – A Fun Combination

I’ve been involved in business networking for several decades now.

That’s what business people do to help keep their funnel of prospects coming in the right direction for new clients and business.

The interesting part of it that often goes unnoticed is the really getting to know people on a more personal basis as a result of the networking.  Building community, and bonds of trust and friendship.

A great example of that for me was attending an evening event where a group of women all came together to do similar paintings to take home.  Much food, beverages, and fun was had by all.  We laughed, shared, did some bonding, and had a great time.

Someone in the group said we all needed to just start “tapping” the paint onto the canvases.  Then everyone was saying it.  It took me longer than most to make the connection that I was the only one in the “tapping” (Emotional Freedom Techniques, EFT) business.  What a hoot.  I hear that word so often that its just a part of who I am now and a word I use many many times a day.  We all had a good laugh over that one.

Will I be doing more business with many of these ladies?  You bet!  That’s the plus side for business of just having fun with new or almost new friends.  Business happens.

Don’t overlook the benefits of spending this extra time and commitment to help your business grow.  You just may have a whole lot of fun along the way!

If you are feeling resistance to going further with your networking, I can help!  Lets connect and see what is keeping you from making more connections and taking your business to the next level.  EFT is a very quick way to get long lasting results.

Obstacles? What obstacles?

Obstacles are in your mind.
What?
Really. What’s the difference between an obstacle and a situation?

Your reaction.  It’s amazing how much energy we can put into creating an obstacle out of a situation.
If you drop your reaction your obstacle becomes just a situation.
Blocks from past experience may just disappear, leaving your way open.
You feel lighter, freed up. You may even be enthusiastic about whatever it is.
That’s what people found when I did this in a group setting.

One man said “Knot I’ve had in my neck has totally vanished!  Its been there for as long as I can remember.”
Another, when asked how strong his reaction was to his obstacle after doing some work said “It’s totally neutralized.  I can’t find it at all!.”

Imagine saying that about (or to) your obstacles. You may find yourself doing just that during a private session using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).

Pick something that seems to be blocking your way forward in your life. Bring that and let’s see what happens.

Oh, and nobody needs to know what your obstacle is unless you decide to share it.  Issues can be worked on without revealing any of the details of the situation or distress.

What are you ready to get rid of so you can move into a happier and healthier YOU?

Book a session and start off loading the excess baggage.

If You Could Change One Thing About Yourself, What Would It Be?

Imagine you could change one thing about yourself.
What would you choose?
If you could start changing it before next week, would you? Even if you’ve
never been able to budge it before?

Decades-old memories and limiting self-beliefs lighten up and disappear on a regular basis.  Bring out the thing you would like to change.

Then learn and use very possibly the most powerful personal change method in existence.

That’s a big claim, I know, but I go by results.

Are you up for a better life? If Yes, great. See you in an affordable private coaching session.

If not, bring your reason why not and we’ll see what that’s about ;-)

My clients are getting very positive and lasting results via coaching sessions using EFT,

EFT for Goal Setting & Business Success

I’m working now with a special niche industry, using EFT, with many direct sellers, network marketers, and MLM business owners, for companies like Avon, Mary Kay, USANA, Young Living, Send Out Cards, Pampered Chef, and Scentsy.

direct sellers

A recent client had excellent results and is delighted with the whole idea of using EFT to further her business success. We worked via phone, as she is in a different country than I, and she didn’t have Skype with video.

Josie’s presenting issue was “Goal Setting.” She just couldn’t get herself to do any more in that area than write down the goals, after which she would file the list away and never look at it again. When we started our first session, her 0-10 SUD level was at a 9+. She was very worked up just thinking about the topic of business goals. We did several rounds about setting goals, where the intensity around it came from in her past, why she felt physically sick just thinking about it. “I just stop myself,” she said. Josie’s emotions were hopelessness, helplessness, anger, and frustration.

We tapped on: “My accomplishments are meaningless,” “This sick feeling in my stomach,” “Why do I keep stopping myself?” “Why should I even set goals?” “I don’t think I’ll do it,” “I keep dismissing this whole idea of goal setting,” “I don’t deserve good things,” “I’m so angry,” “I don’t deserve to achieve my goals,” “I’m an idiot,” “No wonder my business is stuck,” “I’m just helpless to set goals.”

We came to a core belief of “I’m just not good enough.” A common refrain from both of Josie’s parents the whole time she was growing up was “I’m sick of____.” They would say they were sick of most of the things in their lives, and also of what she as a child was doing. She picked up that damaging verbiage, and carried it forward as a part of her identity and physical challenges. No wonder she felt sick when looking at achieving big things. The pit of her stomach was where she held all these emotions. She said that she didn’t want to accept and honor herself, and was sick of how she behaved.

We tapped on: “This sick feeling in my stomach,” “It feels like the flu, it spreads out in my body,” “I hate setting goals,” “All this pressure to set goals,” “It’s all so negative,” “This feeling of powerlessness,” “I’m sick of how I behave,” “I’m no good to do anything,” “How can I ever advance my business?” “I just can’t do this, no wonder my business is stuck!” “I start out so strong, then just don’t follow up with my prospects,” “Why do I just stop?” “Maybe I can look at it differently,” “Maybe I can see this as just setting intentions,” “That feels really good to me,” “Intentions are easy.”

When we finished all the rounds and retested, Josie was at a very happy 0! She said she felt good and was going to go for the rewards now. Her one reservation was that this might not hold in the future. We set a follow-up session for the next week.

At the second session, Josie announced right away that she could calmly look at setting her business goals and start taking action. We spent much of the second session dealing with the nagging feeling of “This won’t hold,” “It probably won’t work even now,” “I might go back to my old ways and not move my business forward,” “I want to be a good example for my down line,” “I want to be excited about setting goals when I come home from convention,” “Maybe this will hold for me,” “I’m choosing to see this in a different light,” “I feel okay with goals.”

Another thing that came up was that Josie felt she didn’t deserve to achieve her business goals and be a success. Other people would notice her and she would stand out (a bad thing). Delving into her very youngest years, she could see where all this had been put into place, and was able to release the hold it had on her now. “It’s okay not to be just like my big sister,” “I have my own gifts to offer,” “I’m safe now, I’m all grown up.” “It’s okay for people to see me as a successful entrepreneur,” “I can be on stage and accept the honors,” “I’m so happy inside thinking of my advancements,” “I’m setting a good example for others to follow.”

In her words, Josie ended this session feeling “light and delightful.” Her voice sounded upbeat and positive. She checked in with me a few days later to say she had signed up a new prospect in her business and that signing event was the reward she had been looking for!

I’m confident Josie’s business will grow and she will continue to use EFT to overcome new challenges.

Emotional Freedom – guest blog by Sara Maude

EFT

Post image for Emotional freedom

I have just discovered that Michael Ball was seen recently on Loose Women, the day time chat show, demonstrating how tapping on his acupressure points gives him emotional freedom from pre-performance nerves.  Just one more celebrity in a long line of celebrities who are using tapping (emotional freedom technique) to help calm their anxieties, lose weight, boost confidence and improve their  performance on stage.

Not only celebrities, but even sports professionals are catching on to emotional freedom technique.  As highlighted in last weeks Telegraph article on emotional freedom technique, American PGA players have been spotted on the golf course tapping away on themselves.  Not quite at PGA standard yet, but having used tapping on my Dad for his golfing handicap, he regularly now plays below his handicap and has stunned fellow players with his ‘overnight’ improved performance on the golf course…..watch out Tiger Woods!

Even Womens Health magazine featured an article on how emotional freedom technique gives relief from stress, improves energy levels, strengthens the immune system and helps you to lose weight.

As no stranger to the power of tapping I have the pleasure of witnessing my clients find emotional freedom everyday from long standing insecurities, anxiety, self doubt and low self esteem to name but a few.  Yet what gives me the most pleasure from seeing articles like those featured in the Telegraph, is that EFT is making it into the mainstream media and if it takes celebrities like Michael Ball to help promote the benefits on day time TV, all the better!

Here is a technique simple enough that a child can learn it, yet gives such powerful emotional freedom  from negative emotion, painful memories and empowers people to feel happier and healthier.  My best friend used it recently when she went into labor to help ease her contractions; another friend used it prior to an interview to help calm her mind and keep her focused; another used it on her negative thought patterns and I used it yesterday to stop myself from worrying about something unnecessary.

It is the modern day wonder and proves that the power to change your life really is at your fingers tips…….

What can EFT/tapping do for me?

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a gentle and effective way to clear emotional blocks by tapping on meridians, or energy channels in the body, while bringing up a specific emotional stressor.

It can dramatically relieve emotional disturbances along with many physical symptoms. In short EFT helps to reduce stress in the body.

The EFT tapping techniques are a series of astoundingly fast and easy processes that can help just about anyone to achieve genuine freedom from the emotions that have created problems in their lives. These techniques have been described by some as one of the most important breakthroughs in the area of psychology in this century. They have been used successfully with thousands of people with a broad range of difficulties.

By using EFT with my clients results are accelerated because the thoughts and emotions blocking change are more rapidly cleared. It is very important to address the whole person, not just the body and not just the mind, when life change is desired. Great health  is achieved when we holistically honor our needs and support our whole being.

What are some ways EFT can help you along your health journey?

-help release resistance and/or fear that you have around working out

-help release resistance and/or fears that you have around working out in front of other people

-help improve flexibility and range of motion at the joints

-releasing stress can help improve exercise performance

-help you to release blocks around weight loss

-improve your focus

-help you move forward in areas of your life where you have been stuck

-help reduce that “overwhelming” feeling

-improve sleep patterns

-reduce your overall stress levels

-help you to more easily deal with the stressors in your life

EFT, I might try it, but what would I work on?

This is often a first question from a new client.  They have heard of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techinques), or “tapping” as it is sometimes called.  They might have even heard about the great results that someone has gotten from using the technique.

People like Louise Hay, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale, Cheryl Richardson and Carol Look are all people that embrace the use of EFT for effectively dealing with our “life” issues.

So, what might be an appropriate topic to work on when seeing a certified EFT practitioner for the first time?  The founder of EFT, Gary Craig, often said to “try it on everything”.  He was willing to address any issue a person might have.  Tapping is often used for trauma, physical challenges like pain or fibromyalgia, long standing illnesses and injuries.

Performance issues like fear of public speaking, having to make business cold calls, getting or keeping a competative athletic edge, dealing with phobias, or test taking, all can be addressed with EFT.

Military veterans are now more and more helped with issues like PTSD, anxiety, migraines, stress, nightmares, etc.  I have personally seen amazing breakthroughs while working with veterans.

So, what to work on?  What are just a couple of ideas that first pop into your head that may be bothering you?  Likely that is a very good place to start.  For the best results, you want to work on specific issues, rather than global ones.  Your practitioner can guide you in narrowing down where to start.

Trying something new to you, like EFT, can have life changing results!

EFT is a very gentle technique.  Lets talk about it.

EFT/Tapping is making a real difference for Newtown, CT

Here is an example of how tapping has been helping, this is what Scarlett Lewis, who lost her 6 year old son Jesse on that day, had to say about doing Tapping:
“In my attempt to heal from the tragedy of losing my son in a tragic shooting, an experience that has broken my heart and made me question going on with my own life, I sought many different types of help.
Initially I sought traditional “talk” therapy that left me re-traumatized and feeling worse. Tapping left me with a deeper understanding of myself, feeling better, with a lightness of being, and hope.”

Nick, Jessica and Alex Ortner, from the Tapping Solution are donating 100% of all purchases of the Tapping World Summit packages during this closeout week until they reach their goal by raising $25,000 to go towards the work being done in Newtown.  You can connect with them via  http://thetappingsolution.com

I have now worked with a lot of military veterans via the Veterans’ Stress Project, www.stressproject.org  and can attest to the amazing results of EFT and tapping for things like PTSD, anxiety, trauma, nightmares, migraines, major life stress, etc.  The veterans are learning this EFT tool and changing their lives for the better.  It is incredible to see the results they are getting from just the six sessions that I have with each of them.
