Doing EFT or Tapping in Public

OK, so you know how to do EFT and the many benefits of tapping for personal issues.

What about when something comes up in public that you would like to tap on.  Say you are in a meeting with the boss, and you feel your stress level going up fast.  What if you are at a party and start feeling anxious or nervous about interacting with others.  How about that dating situation with a special someone that you want to give a favorable impression to?

There is a very simple and subtle solution!  You can tap just using your fingers and thumb.  Each finger, right at the beginning of the fingernail bed, is a good connection energy point to do tapping. 

To get the idea of it…hold your hand out like you were going to shake hands with someone.  Then, fold in your fingers towards the palm of your hand.  Then, you can use your thumb to “tap” on the edge of the finger where the nailbed corner is.  Just tap the first finger several times with the thumb, then move to the middle finger doing the same, to the ring finger, then finish with the little finger.

This can be done under the desk/table in front of you, behind your back, or when you have your arms folded across your chest, it can be done under the arm, close to your body.  Nobody will know what you are doing or be able to see it.

An easy way to stay calm and cool in possibly tough public/social situations.

  1. This seems like a very straight forward approach and one that can be kept under the radar if needed in the situations you describe. How effective is this compared to full on tapping?

    • As long as you have the basics of full round tapping understanding and practiced, this can be almost as good, as each finger is its own body energy “point of action” as it were.

With your Fear Of Heights, I would maybe start with (The Set Up): Even though I have this great fear of hights, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway , Even though I am terrified to go on high places even on hikes, I thoroughly Love and Accept myself as I am , Even though my fear of heights is preventing me to enjoy lovely hikes on mountains, I forgive myself. And then start Tapping on the 10 points saying things like: This Fear of Heights is so deep in me, this Fear of Heights is preventing me to enjoy hikes, this Fear of Heights has a strong hold of me, I don’t know where it comes from but it’s tying me down, my heart is punping, my ears are humming, I feel that I am going to faint, etc. Things on that line, use what ever the FEELING is in you when you imagine yourself or REMEMBER in a situation that your Fear of Heights has really taken you.In the end, after a couple (maybe 5 or 6 or so) rounds, say something like this: I give myself a possibility to imagine being without this Fear, I imagine myself on a very high place, and I am enjoying it. I give myself permission to be fearless. I give myself permission to let go of this Fear . This is taking the negative out, and putting something positive in.

      • Thankyou for your help on those MP3 stress audio’s. I have been doing EFT for 3 years now and have not alrley brought up this issue (of my original question to you) with my tutor as we have a monthly meeting and there are usually 8 ladies in our class so this is one of the topics we haven’t raised. I do have a workbook that our tutor gave us which is all about Easy Weight Management that deals with stress and other core beliefs we can add our own setup sequences so will carry on with that. I do thankyou so much for your reply.

    • Hahaha! You make me laugh. So next time I will Tap Dance for you, eh ?! Hahaha ! Yes, you’re correct, Tapping IS an azinamg technique and so easy to help ourselves. It was Raul Paeimers’ video that actually pushed me now into doing this video finally. And I am going to do a lot more from now on. He was using Tapping for the fear of calling to prospects Great stuff ! I am getting more and more focused now and feel even stronger than before that this is it My Way .
